Importance & Considerations of Strollers

Importance & Considerations

Mommies mainly considered the following factors when buying the best baby stroller: weight/bulkiness, price point, ease of folding, the safety aspect and if it was comfortable for their baby.

There are many benefits to owning a stroller. A stroller keeps your baby close to you and prevents parents from overstraining themselves from constant carrying. Most strollers can be folded easily and that makes travelling a lot easier.

How Has It Been Using the Joie Aire Twin?

Personal Experience

Our primary concern when choosing a twin stroller was to have a side-by-side design to prevent conflicts between siblings, while also prioritizing a lightweight option to reduce our burden. The Joie Aire Twin stood out as one of the lighter twin strollers available, and considering its price below $400, we found it to be reasonably affordable

Additionally, we needed a stroller that could be as compact as possible, and to our surprise, it folded flat and fit perfectly in our 5-seater saloon car, leaving ample space for other items.

Joie Aire Twin Stroller Personal Experience

We frequently bring our stroller along in Singapore, and it has rarely posed any issues with fitting through pathways or doorways. However, it’s important to note that double strollers are not allowed on local buses.

We also put the stroller to the test during our trip to Japan. Apart from encountering some restrictions on the Shinkansen and certain local train doors, we had little trouble manoeuvring around various places and using lifts.

Like most children, my kids go through phases where they strongly dislike being in a stroller. However, thanks to the stroller’s fully reclining feature, it has been incredibly convenient for our family, as they can comfortably nap in it after outings. This eliminates the need to rush home for nap time.

The stroller’s manoeuvrability is excellent, especially when making turns. We compared it with other strollers that were considered “higher-end and more expensive” and found that the Joie Aire Twin manoeuvred just as smoothly.

The storage compartment below the seats of the Joie Aire Twin stroller is incredibly large – it can fit 2 backpacks. It’s wide and deep, providing ample space for us to store numerous items. We find it convenient to use as a grocery basket when we go shopping.

Sharing a Wide Single Bumper Bar

The Joie Aire Twin stroller features a wide single bumper bar that gives children more space to move and wriggle around, rather than feeling confined to their own separate bumper bar.

Cons of the Joie Aire Twin

Flaws

Impractical Peek Window

The “see-through window” on the stroller cover is somewhat translucent, making it difficult to see the child seated inside. It would be better if the window was transparent or made of a material, such as netting, that provides clearer visibility.

Inaccessible Storage Compartment When Fully Reclined

The storage compartment of the stroller is difficult to access when the seats are fully reclined, causing inconvenience for parents who don’t want to disturb their sleeping child.

Not Rear-Facing

The handlebar of the stroller is not reversible, which would make it more appealing if there was an option to face the parent.

As it is not a double-facing stroller and with the impractical peek window, it makes it hard to interact with my children while on the go. Sometimes, they try to look up eagerly to establish eye contact with us.
